To achieve a durable, professional, and seamless flock finish with the FK5-PRO, follow these core application steps:

1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the substrate material is completely clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or silicone. Lightly abrade smooth surfaces (like plastics or metals) to create a key for the adhesive.

2. Adhesive Application
Apply your flocking adhesive evenly across the surface using a brush, roller, or spray gun. Ensure the adhesive layer is consistent—too thin and the flock won't stick; too thick and the fibres will submerge and lose their velvety texture.

3. Earthing (Critical Step)
Connect the earthing cable clip firmly to an uninsulated part of the substrate, or directly into the wet adhesive layer if the item itself is non-conductive. A solid ground connection is essential to create the electrostatic field that forces the fibres to stand perfectly vertical.

4. Charging & Flocking
Load your selected flock fibres into the applicator mesh head. Turn on the FK5-PRO power unit. Holding the applicator roughly 100mm to 150mm away from the surface, gently shake the unit to disperse the fibres. The 35kV negative charge will instantly pull the fibres down, embedding them perpendicular to the adhesive.

5. Curing & Clean-up
Allow the adhesive to fully cure (24hrs at room temperature) Once completely dry, gently brush or use compressed air/vacuum to remove any loose, excess flock fibres.
